This audio archive is a collection of sounds recorded on the train between Benevento and Avelino in Southern Italy. The rail line was shut down in October 2012 as a part of a larger reduction process of public transport in the area. Lidén recorded the sounds of the train, its stations and surroundings during the summer of 2012 during her residency at Interferenze´s FARM project. All sounds are uploaded on aporee.org/maps and free for download. A radio essay can be heard here. On the past tracks– blog you can hear recordings and read more about the project.
